| Day 3 - Sickypoo. |
[Sep. 12th, 2009|06:42 pm] |

Some dirty mofo gave me a cold. Ok, it wasn't a dirty mofo it was my mom. Effort paintings will resume eventually. I do not consider this a failure of my 'do a thing everyday' thing. Rules can be bent, I am not the rule pope. |

| Watercolor a Day: Day 2 - Shrew |
[Sep. 10th, 2009|09:24 pm] |
...But not that long! Ha ha ha?
Day 2 was a shrew. I watched a movie on the Internet Archive called THE KILLER SHREWS while doing this and let me tell you, those killer shrews didn't look a thing like this one:

Ok so now we're up to date. That was pretty hard work, guys. |

[Sep. 10th, 2009|09:19 pm] |
So ok, I've decided I'm bored and I should be doing a thing every day, so I'm gonna paint some watercolors, ok. One a day for as long as I can keep it up. Let's see how long I last!
Day 1 was yesterday and it was a jellyfish:

I already did Day 2, but you're just gonna have to wait for that! HA HA HA. |

Stolen from basically everyone everywhere is the latest meme:
* Post ten of any pictures currently on your hard drive that you think are self-expressive.
* No captions. It must be like we're speaking with images and we have to interpret your visual language just like we have to interpret your words.
* They must ALREADY be on your hard drive - no googling or flickr! They have to have been saved to your folders sometime in the past. They must be something you've saved there because it resonated with you for some reason.
* You do NOT have to answer any questions about any of your pictures if you don't want to. You can make them as mysterious as you like. Or you can explain them away as much as you like.
So here's mine!

( Clinky clank on this bitch to see some more pictures )
I don't have a whole lot of pictures on this computer, unfortunately, but I still feel like this is a solid collection of representational pictures. |

| Man, it's been a while. |

I haven't done a lot of anything lately, so here's a thing I made making fun of FRIENDS because Jess Fink inspired me doubly so. Also, I hate Ross so much.

I made another one but I'm too lazy to link to it and pretty much anyone who will see this has seen Jess's LJ and it's over there in the comments somewhere. It doesn't involve Ross being eaten by a dinosaur, and is therefore inferior to this one. |

| Meet Henry! |
[Oct. 31st, 2008|01:40 pm] |

I don't know how to crochet. I've been trying to learn, but I just do not get it at all, I guess, because nothing comes out right. So one night, after hours of trying to follow a amigurumi pattern and failing to even get started, I threw it away and just started doing something, not caring about trying to do anything that resembled any crocheting instructions I'd ever read. Henry is the result of that. I'm still not entirely sure how I made him, but he just sort of formed, like he was in the ether and needed to be created. |

| I am not a shapeless ghost, but I play one on TV |
[Oct. 3rd, 2008|10:45 pm] |
Hi! I was feelin' sad last week after a doctor's appointment and so I made this to cheer me up. It worked and then I showed some people who I have mad respect for and they didn't make fun of it, so I'm trusting the internet here and sharing it with all of you. DON'T MAKE FUN OF ME INTERNET!!!

There's something real difficult about drawing something personal like this and then showing it to other people, especially since I made it for myself in 10 minutes and it's pretty ugly (oxymoron!). On the other hand, it's comforting to do so and then not have people be mean about it in any way. I recommend people doing this whenever they get sad and sharing it with good friends, especially if they didn't plan to share it with anyone at all. You'd be surprised how comforting it is. Just thinking about it gives me warm fuzzy feelings in my tummy! I know I'd love to see other peoples' "catharsis comics", since I'm nosy and I love learning anything I can about people and then telling them that it is okay to feel the way they expressed in their comic. It'd be a shiny, happy lovefest! |

| what have i done |
[Sep. 20th, 2008|06:41 pm] |
MEME TIME!!! 1. Take a picture of yourself right now. 2. Don't change your clothes, don't fix your hair...just take a picture. 3. Post that picture with NO editing. 4. Post these instructions with your picture.

I happened upon this meme right out of the shower and with a flu. As you can tell, even I am displeased with my utter adherence to the rules. What am I glaring at? Clearly it is my shame, walking angrily out of the room, disgusted with me.
I am not sure I blame it. |

Hey dudes today is a sad day in Peteland. My older dog Stellar had to be put to sleep today. She had been sick for a long time and the vets couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. We suspect that it was bad food because my sister had to put her dog down just recently too for similar, mysterious symptoms. She was a very wonderful dog and was an old, sassy queenie. She did not like other dogs, except my sister's dog Bear, who had been around her all her life, and she was very sad when he was put to sleep and that just made her sickness much worse.
When I told my 7 year old niece the news, she took it very well and said, "Well, she's with Bear now. She loved him and he loved her." That is a pretty great thing for her to say, I think.
